Think and create with La Poste the digital tool for postmen of today and tomorrow

Since November 2012, DEGETEL has been working with the Direction de l’Innovation au sein du Centre de Compétence Mobile, on developing user experience and designing the different interfaces of the Facteo application ecosystem.

Facteo is a mobile tool, supporting postmen in their professional and personal lives through features related to customer service, the latest news concerning La Poste, and even route follow-up.

Field observations



With a comprehensive vision, evolving over time, placing the user at the center of the solution, we carry out ergonomic studies during the formulation phase, animate co-creation and co-development workshops with developers and postmen, and create the models and templates of the different applications’ screens.

The design of the user interface is developed in accordance and continuity with Facteo’s customized visual universe. The longevity and compilation of the solutions are ensured by the creation of ergonomic and graphic charters.

Thanks to our multi-disciplinary teams with rich and varied backgrounds, we stay ahead of the curve on the latest innovations during the pre-project phase.


The result

By allowing the user experience to drive our work, our design and ergonomics teams have been able to develop a whole ecosystem of applications with a simple, sober and clean design, enabling postmen to improve customer service but also to better organize their daily work.

This ecosystem enables the signature of tracked objects, management of proxies or reshipments. It completely matches La Poste digitalization objective and the 2015 Réinventons le Courrier project. 10 000 postmen are already equipped with this system, and an objective of 100% postmen equipped is planned for 2015.

We have applied a collaborative work methodology, organized around co-development workshops. This approach has enabled us to gather the different actors of the project (Marketing, Technical, Design) and have them work together, converge on the most appropriate and optimal solution while matching the marketing goals identified by the customer. The creative team was composed of an ergonomist, an art director and a designer, who were in charge of the development of the concepts submitted in the call to tender. Throughout the project, the team developed interactive templates, the visual design of interfaces, and the application storyboard and integration guidelines.
